Over the years he worked in many roles ranging from hotel work and warehouseman/driver to football reporting on the radio. His adventures across Europe Morocco Turkey and beyond profoundly shaped his outlook on life and spirituality.
A lifelong Watford supporter music enthusiast and observer of humanity Simon brings warmth honesty humour and reflection to his storytelling. His experiences in football journalism alongside his love for artists such as Bob Dylan The Beatles and The Doors have deeply influenced his writing voice and perspective.
Now retired Simon dedicates his time to writing family life watching football playing backgammon and reflecting on the extraordinary journey that inspired This Is How It Is.
