Motivation

I have never written to provide easy answers. I write because life continually asks questions that deserve honest reflection.

Throughout my life I have been inspired by remarkable people, memorable journeys and powerful works of literature and music. Travelling across Europe and North Africa, reporting on football, studying history, exploring spirituality and witnessing different cultures taught me that every person carries a story worth listening to. Those experiences continue to motivate every page I write.

My books explore themes that affect us all, including identity, purpose, faith, history, politics, relationships, music, travel, personal growth and the search for meaning in an increasingly complex world. I believe memoir and autobiographical writing can encourage readers not only to understand another person’s journey but also to reflect upon their own.

I am particularly motivated by the belief that curiosity builds understanding. The more we travel, read, listen and engage with different perspectives, the more compassionate and informed we become. Whether writing about football, historical events, philosophy or everyday encounters, my hope is that readers will discover ideas that remain with them long after the final page.

Writing has become my way of bringing together a lifetime of experiences into stories that inform, encourage thoughtful discussion and celebrate the richness of the human journey.
